Partnership offers liability insurance benefits to nearly 11,000 members
WASHINGTON D.C. – The nation’s largest association representing long term and post-acute care providers, the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL), recently named HealthCap as the preferred provider of liability insurance products for its extensive membership.
HealthCap, formed in 2001 in response to the liability insurance crisis facing senior care providers, will offer unique benefits and services to the nearly 11,000 AHCA/NCAL members.
“HealthCap is excited about the opportunity to provide this unique program for AHCA/NCAL members. As a member-owned and governed company, we share the common goals of our policyholders to improve quality, reduce liability insurance costs, and support the senior care industry,” said Peter Feeney, Administrator of HealthCap.
“We are pleased to bring HealthCap as a preferred provider to our members,” said Bruce Yarwood, President and CEO, AHCA/NCAL. “As a leader in the management of liability risk for long term and post-acute care providers HealthCap is uniquely prepared to serve our industry, and we look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.”
HealthCap is the largest member-owned liability insurer focused on the senior care industry, providing focused claim management, integrated risk control services, and specialized insurance products to skilled care, assisted living, independent living, and continuing care retirement communities.
