senior care industry. Since 2001, HealthCap has grown to become a top-5
liability insurance provider for the industry, with over 1,700 insured
facilities and offering a broad array of liability insurance products.
We were formed in 2001 as an solution to a liability insurance crisis facing senior care providers. Conventional insurance companies withdrew their support for senior care liability coverage, and many quality long term care organizations were threatened with losing insurance coverage entirely.
Providers in the Midwest created HealthCap to permanently end the senior care industry's reliance on fickle insurance markets. HealthCap was created to provide a focused, committed, and stable professional and general liability insurance program for quality senior care organizations throughout the country. HealthCap's member-owned and member-governed framework has since become the recognized leader in the management of liability risk in the senior care setting.
HealthCap is administered by Chelsea Rhone, LLC, a firm that specializes in the development and management of insurance products for the senior care industry. Our team of finance and insurance specialists, senior care clinicians, and nursing home litigation experts work together to provide our clients with the broadest protection possible at a stable and affordable price.
AHCA Affinity Partner
After an extensive review by the liability insurance subcommitte of the American Health Care Association, the Board of Governors have acted to name HealthCap as an Affinity Partner of AHCA.
ANCC Approval
We are pleased to announce that HealthCap's educational program has been approved by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a national provider of continuing education for licensed nurses. HealthCap RMS can now provide accredited in-service education sessions at every member facility nationwide.
