Our Story
In February of 2001, Michael Feeney was asked to find a solution to the liability insurance crisis facing long term care communities. The solution was HealthCap®, an insurer solely dedicated to senior care communities. With strong financial stewardship, HealthCap® has built a sustainable insurance vehicle writing over $800m in senior care liability premium, one of the largest commitments in the insurance industry to senior care.

HealthCap® is owned and governed by its members, the senior care communities that we insure. Since our formation in 2001, HealthCap® has grown to become a top-5 liability insurance provider to the sector, with over 1,890 insured communities.
